Ginseng & Goldenseal Cultivation Workshops & Consultation in the Ozarks

Cultivation Workshops

2026 was a year of disturbance toward propagating abundance in the goldenseal patches in the forest at Mountain Jewel. Rhizomes planted in 2018 were ready to be divided, replanted, transplanted and shared with other folks wanting to learn how to cultivate goldenseal on their land. Toward this aim, Wren co-led two workshops, one at Mountain Jewel in Ozark County, Missouri with Ezra Houston of Lincoln University who is the forest farming coordinator at the Midwest Forest Farming Coalition, and one in West Fork, Arkansas at Yarb Land with herbalists and land stewards Sara and Emily Benton.

Now scheduling Fall 2027 goldenseal and ginseng workshops in the Ozarks!

If you’d like to host one on your land within the Ozark bioregion, let’s talk! Reach out to ozarkmountainjewel (at) gmail (dot) com.

Consultation

It is a passion of mine to help folks who want to steward these potent at-risk understory medicinals within our shared bioregion. If you’re interested in having me out for a land consultation, including site selection, cultivation, propagation, harvest instruction and support connecting with seed stock and rhizomes, please reach out! My vision is to see these understory medicinals exponentiate within their native habitat here and equip more people to act as their human hands! Thanks for your curiosity toward joining this effort. It is good work. Please reach out to ozarkmountainjewel (at) gmail (dot) com to start the conversation.
