clay works at mountain jewel

Over the years at mountain jewel, we have been learning to work with the clay soil native to this region. We started with a composting toilet and have built a naturally plastered slip straw sauna and I am currently closing in a 4 bedroom straw bale house with earthen plaster! Sharing this very old human skill with others has always been a part of the dream and each year I host multiple opportunities for people to come get their hands in the clay.
